French powerhouse label Yoyaku has been at the vanguard of hip and cool minimal house and techno for some time now and just one look at the stable of artists that propel them forward and you will understand why.
As well as releasing killer music on their full range of associated labels, Yoyaku also puts on some of Europe’s best raves.
First up for the French crew is their waterfront showcase in Berlin, Yoyaku X Hoppetosse on Sunday, February 24th, and as you might expect a sterling cast is lined up and the good name of Yoyaku will be spread by Cabanne, Janaret, Lowris, Maayan Nidam (live), Roger Gerressen, Varhat and Zendid. As it is taking place at one of Berlin’s premier minimal strongholds, this one is guaranteed to be white hot from the off.
To celebrate the ridiculous partnership they have struck up with Hoppetosse, the French label have a 2-disc EP due to come out on February 25th and it will feature exclusive tracks from Mayaan Nidam, Varhat, Janaret, Roger Gerressen, Cabanne and Lowris.
Then on Saturday, March 2nd they will be throwing an almighty 2 room affair and again the assembled team for the Yoyaku Warehouse party does not disappoint. Room 1 titled Aku will host Audio Werner, Einzelkind and Giuliano Lomonte, Varhat B2B Janaret and one final guest that is yet to be announced. Room 2, which has been aptly named YoY with a decidedly Japanese flavour will welcome Binh, DJ Masda, Niwa Tatsui and Zendid. As is always the case with music at a Yoyaku event you can also expect the production to be just as slick and on point as the stage design and mapping will be taken care of by AV Exciters. Finally, on Saturday, March 30th one of the UK’s premier music venues, Studio 9294 will play host to a London showcase from the French minimal crew that will include sets from label mainstays Cabanne, Janeret, Lamache, Lowris, Oshana, Roger Gerressen, Varhat and Zendid. So, over the course of the next few months, there is plenty of opportunities to spend the night with some of the hottest artists on the minimal scene right now.
