After the sad news that surely inundated news feeds across Europe, it would seem that all is by no means lost at Club Der Visionaere.
In a poignant and heartfelt press release published on the club’s Facebook and Instagram accounts CDV set the story straight regarding the extent of the fire, “Contrary to news reports, the entire club was not affected, only a section of the upper-level seating area located under the weeping willow tree, which was closed at the time of the fire. The club area itself was not affected”.
Berlin and the wider electronic music community can now breathe a collective sigh of relief that one of the shining beacons of counter culture is still intact, even the famous willow tree that lazily overhangs part of the decked area is still intact if a little charred. Having praised the help of the emergency services for their efforts it was back to business, “We are now assessing the extent of the damage and hope to reopen soon. Until then, we will keep on keeping on by continuing the Club der Visionaere program at Hoppetosse as of tomorrow/Sunday”.
With every cloud offering a silver lining the atmosphere that MS Hoppetosse creates is also something rather special. This will also come as a massive relief to DJ’s and clubbers alike as there will be minimum disruption to the scheduled program and what a schedule they have planned over the next week. The party must go on.
