UP Festival announces second wave of artists and stage split for their second edition

You might remember that a few months or so ago we brought you the news about UP Festival’s launching their 2019 edition. Well, it’s time to get very excited because we can now reveal the stage split for the 4-day electronic music and arts event taking place at PVA Expo Praha between Wednesday, July 10th and Sunday, July 14th.

It is not clear who will be playing where over the course of the weekend just yet, but joining an already serious array of artists laid out in phase one is Dana Ruh, Dorian Paic, Edward, Fatty M & Dj Schwa, Marcel Dettmann, Tikno, Bruno Curtis, Sam BanguraLamache, John Dimas, Margaret Dygas and the minimal talisman Ricardo Villalobos. As always, we will be keeping you updated as more information comes our way.

Kicking off the festival slowly on Wednesday, July 10th Up Festival has arranged an insightful seminar at Cobra Bar where the subject of electronic music in the Czech Republic will be discussed. It will also be possible for those in attendance to meet and greet the guest speakers where they will be participating in a Q&A session.

Moving on to Thursday, July 11th will be a special broadcast from Boiler Room: both the line-up and venue will remain a secret until just before the event, but there is no doubt it will be definitely something to get involved in. This event will only be open to festival ticket holders, so if you don’t have a ticket but you want to get involved on Thursday then get along to Vlkova26 to enjoy a free entry event with slick cocktails and even better music.

Friday, July 12th will mean a daytime chill session with the Prague-based team at Vnitorblock, a creative space for designers, music studios, sneakerheads shops and food fairs. While the evenings’ entertainment will take place at Wildt bar and garden.

On Saturday, July 13th it will be down to business with UP and XLR8R both having their own day time stages, and then when the sun sets Komiks will be ruling the roost with their own warehouse rave for the night time session.

The following day will see UP and XLR8R return to their own day time sessions and rounding things out will be a limited capacity warehouse afterparty taking place on the night of Sunday, July 14th to close out the festival in style.

We will be bringing you further details about who is playing where over the course of the weekend in due course, but as you can see by the first and second artist announcements, there will be no shortage of highlights.

It is also worth noting that UP Festival will be taking control of Mixmag The Lab, where there will be a showcase form their esteemed artists, so stay sharp and make sure you don’t miss a thing.
