Lisboa Electronica 2018 is around the corner and, like for 2017, is again proposing the “label showcase” format that makes it bright during its first edition.
Among the huge number of artists and imprints performing (read here the full program), at Trommel we decided to focus on what we reckon to be one of the most interesting debut for the Portuguese festival: Slow Life.
Slow Life is a Berlin-based label established in 2013. Cecilio, Dj Tree, Laurine, Santi Uribe and S.Moreira are the founding members, with Saverio Celestri and Primary Perception fellow associates.

Their project is a blended mixture of Italian and Hispanic roots, with their style mainly influenced by the Detroit sounds and Afro rhythms. Experienced percussionist Sergio Moreira lead the group, with the rest having extensive knowledge of music and a real passion for record digging, each one adding a unique set of skills to the group.
If you have been lucky enough, you might have attended one of their marathon they usually propose at Hoppetosse or Club der Visionaere, while in London they usually performed for ART OF DARK. They also run, from time to time, a vinyl market pop-up where they mainly sell double copies or just connect with people.

All the components of the collective are old-style likeminded artists and prefer to speak through their music. In fact, their project social pages are rarely updated, and only to share information about next events/showcases or releases to the fanbase. Also, the label has a total of 15 issue, with the last one from Basement Space available from 25th of March.
Catch up with Slow Life crew on 7th of April at LX Factory, Lisboa Electronica Musiculture.
