Planet Pleasure has become a staple name within Berlin’s close community of DJs, dancers and promoters nurturing the lively scene in the German capital.
Their memorable birthday bonanza recently took place in their adopted home RSO. The indoor-outdoor venue offers the opportunity for extended sessions, combining the sun-kissed outdoor flavours with more clubby, nighttime jams. The birthday session invited the trusty tINI and digging delights DJ Pipe and Gene On Earth, as well as upcoming artists E.LINA, Logidy, Szafran and the collective founders Thabo and Thalo.
This month’s showcase heads back to the beloved RSO space, setting up from another extended session beginning at 18:00 in the open air and spinning into the sunset, before heading indoors from 23:00 and jamming well into the morning in classic Berlin length style.
Joining them to soundtrack this occasion is a stunning curation of diverse artists. Partisan boss Anthea brings her infectious energy and bag filled with bombs alongside slick selector Ben Balance. French talent Charlotte also features on the bill, as well as longtime YouTube curator CMYK and his Kommuna brother Pekkuliar.
UK tastemakers Hamish & Toby also head up the bill with the legendary S.Moreira from the force of Slow Life. Planet Pleasure co-founder Thabo will also play, this time a solo set.
The Summer season is very much in full flow in the clubbing capital with a mouthwatering amount of events pouring out every weekend. Whether it’s a long morning at Hoppetosse, waking up at CDV or one of the many open air ventures, the options in Berlin at this time of year are really something special.
The level of quality that has long been standard is also something to behold. Each party is destined to have excellent sound, a carefully curated programme and intimate and thoughtful spaces for people to spend long periods. It’s a unique place where the parties, venues and happenings are driven by ravers, for ravers.
Priorities are in all the right places, ensuring a smooth and comfortable experience for music lovers to revel in for extended hours all through the weekend, without the fairly occasional midweek rendezvous. It’s really a place you can get lost in music for hours and hours, discovering new trends, genres and people bubbling with projects and innovation.
RSO Berlin hosts a pristine Kirsch Audio sound system that is delicate tuned by a team of devotees and can be sure to bring the best out of it’s featured artists.
