There is a special place reserved in the hearts of clubbers for day time parties over the course of a bank holiday weekend. For this very reason, Pattern in Nottingham have got one such event in the works and to say that this is going to be a memorable one could be the biggest understatement of the summer.
Having been in operation since October last year, Pattern is a collection of like-minded heads who want to bring something different to the city. This has resulted in them bringing artists such as Leo Pol, East End Dubs, and Lauren Lo Sung to Nottingham since launching.
In keeping with this minimal ethos their season finale on Sunday, August 25th at the stunning Four Four Courtyard in Nottingham is taking a slightly different approach to dancefloor bedlam. The collective has handed over the reins to one of the UK’s finest selectors to cultivate a line-up of heavy hitter’s worthy of such a closing party. That honor has been bestowed upon none other than Fuse London member Rossko and he has definitely delivered on his promise of something special for the heads which is brimming with debut performances.
In order to give a brief snapshot of where his sound is at the moment, he has roped in 2 white hot artists to help him make the party go off with a bang. First up is Rich NxT, an artist that is in heavy rotation around the world’s hottest dancefloors and his recent ‘The Four Slip’ EP with East End Dubs on Fuse London has shown one of the many the reasons why he is so in demand right now. Next is Chris Stussy, another artist this is currently on a hot streak that is showing no signs of cooling down. His recent podcast for Trommel which featured 100% his own unreleased productions is a testament to his production and DJ prowess.
A bank holiday rave wouldn’t be complete without a crack team of local artists who are rightly given the chance to shine. Heading up the support is discotech main man Jordan Diston, he will be joined in support duties by Mortalyf (Leftback) b2b Scalera (Traza), Chubz n Nukem (RETech Recordings) and the 3 way Sound Picnic b2b2b from Lunar, Desmond, and Dublee.
Pattern will soon be celebrating their first birthday with details of this coming soon, but if you can’t wait for this stomping event you can catch Ben Rau in action for Pattern on Saturday, August 10th.
