Paris collective Nacre & Noapté to mint a new two-day festival at the historic Magasins Généraux

Parisian crew Nacre are certainly no strangers to putting on top events. They have been throwing parties of all shapes, sizes, sounds, and they are now taking the next step in their evolution with their first two-day festival. Consistent outings since 2020 have seen Nacre shift focus from techno to deeper shades of tech house, as well as minimal and micro house. All have their place within their finely curated events.

Over the years the many Parisian night spots have played host to many of our scenes shining stars, but their upcoming two-day event will see a significant level-up in guest and venue production. Taking place over the weekend of November 24-26th at Magasins Généraux, a former warehouse of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce of the City of Paris, the raw industrial space has been finished to a high standard for maximum impact when the lights go down. Exposed concrete pillars embedded with strip lighting all encased in a glass sheath, Magasins Généraux strikes a bold figure surrounded by water.

Using all their experience, Nacre have devised a typically wide ranging program of music with Day One very much focusing on techno and with headliners Konstantin Sibold, Recondite (live), as well as Massano and Ramyen in support. However, the next night is where the readers of these pages will be especially interested as the lineup is bursting at the seams with French talent from around our community.

Two of France’s biggest events series Automatic Writing and Pisica will play a major role in Day Two, the former has emerged as a hugely in demand trio of artists that have their roots firmly planted in Paris but with their eyes set on the world. As well as their hugely lauded own events, Darween, Jacan, and Guillermo Jamas regularly make trips to the finest events in our sphere with them turning out for our own event at the recent ADE marathon at Noordwaards.

The latter is two representatives from event series Pisica and their parties have lit up the Parisian scene and really helped to put France on a few different maps. Artists Saar and HLE will be playing b2b and this is a well trodden path as these two forces within Pisica have helped to drive the brand through a huge year to date. Joining these rising stars is another name to watch out for in Parea who has began to make a name of himself in both Paris and the UK with a slew of appearances and Nacrew Festival is set to be another footnote in his journey.

Moving further up the lineup and the quality runs right to the top. Apollonia and highly regarded French player Dan Ghenacia is next and there is little that we can say at this point about this man of many talents that we haven’t already said. His selections are a constant taste making force in house music and when he drops a track Discog sellers rub their hands together. Completing the lineup for Nacre Festival Day Two is another artist that has grown to become a true superstar – Archie Hamilton. Having risen to prominence as part of Fuse, Archie is constantly traversing the world delivering masterclass after masterclass in sleek, reductionist house music. Just at ease on the biggest of stages as he is in the sweatiest of intimate raves.
