Mint Club reveal line-up for closing parties

Having brought to you the sad news that Leeds institution Mint Club would be closing its doors for the last time early 2019, the time has now come to announce the remaining parties in this trailblazing venue’s story.

There are a number of standout parties coming up before the closing parties begin, such as Shonky on Saturday, December 22nd, the Louche reunion party on Saturday, January 19th and East End Dubs on Saturday, February 9th, but if you look up the term ”going out with a bang” there will simply be links to the 2 closing parties at Mint Club. With System at the helm there was always going to be more than a few heavyweight artists on the bill, read on to find out who…

First up is the End of Era party part 3 on Saturday, February 23rd and headlining will be close friend of the club and of SystemSeth Troxler, he will be joined by more Mint Club luminaries Apollonia, Martin Buttrich, Enzo Siragusa, Archie Hamilton, Annie Errez, Bobby O’Donnell, Parker Smith and Mikey McMahon. Normally a party like this would be enough to call time on such an illustrious legacy, but this is Mint Club and they don’t do things by halves.

If you could ever describe the nights before events as a warmup, there is never any doubt that End of Era part 4 is the final round of the main event. Who else should be charged with bringing down the curtain on this special place than Ricardo Villalobos. His sets for System and the Mint Club team over the years have been nothing short of legendary and there is nobody else more fitting. We are quite sure that he could do this single-handedly, but there are many more artists lining up to say goodbye. Returning for the final dance under that LED roof will be Enzo Siragusa and Archie Hamilton who will be returning for a second act and will be joined by the rest of the Fuse London crew Seb Zito, Rossko and Rich NxT. Also on the bill is Seth Troxler who will be playing back to back with a secret special guest, Perlon man Zip, tINI, Digby, Laura Jones as well as residents and rising stars in their own right Josh Tweek (The Ghost), Annie Errez and Bobby O’Donnell are all poised and ready to bring it home.

The closing of Mint Club in Leeds truly is the end of an era in British and indeed world clubbing and is, unfortunately, a sign of the times, but as discussed previously there is a silver lining to be garnered from this sad situation. So, if you want to get your hands on tickets for any of the closing parties you will need to beg, steal and borrow to be in with a chance as these tickets will be harder to come by than Willy Wonka’s Golden Ticket. Keep your eyes trained to the Mint Club social media for more information on when they will go on sale.
