Maayan Nidam prepares to drop album on Perlon

German-based artist Maayan Nidam wears a great many hats when it comes to her musical output. It might be her Miss Fitz alias that is pricking up ears, her collaborative outfit Mara Trax with Vera or perhaps her recent live performances with Julia König. Be all these as they may, at the end of the day she is still Mayaan Nidam, an artist with several strings to her bow and one way in which to reveal these sweet sound strings is by way of a long player.

Having not released an album since her 2012 “New Moon” on Luciano’s Cadenza imprint, news of an upcoming long player dropping at the end of this month and her long-awaited return to Berlin-based label Perlon will be music to her fans ears.

The 2 x 12″ LP “Sea of Thee” will feature 8 original tracks which will navigate through many of Nidam’s weird and wonderful moods. From the intense opening dark vocal broken beats of “Dust and Dirt” to the more upbeat “Die Sonne Innere” and the more dancefloor focused “Konigin Von Saba”, “Sea of Thee” is an impressive body of electronic musical work that will reveal many layers of music the more it is listened to in its entirety.

Make sure you don’t sleep on this long player from an artist that just gets better and better regardless of which hat she is wearing.

The new year will also see Maayan doing an album tour that will touch several of the European main cities.
