London’s Stump celebrate 6 years with Dyed Soundorom and Steve O’Sullivan live

Stump have been central to London’s underground for many years. The taste-making collective host frequent extended showcases to the capital, inviting a vast variety of the genre’s finest talent to let loose through long set times and great sound systems.

Last October saw the crew take over E1 and FOLD for a 21-hour marathon with Petre Inspirescu, Mihigh, Priku, and Suciu bringing the flavours. Stump are also known for their long serving and devoted resident DJs. Cally, Thierry, Chrissy Hope and Kearun have grown into seasoned selectors through the crew’s regular events.

Spending a long time with a particular crowd, adapting to their tastes and growing together, every Stump showcase has become notorious for their incredibly educated selectors giving each party a memorable theme.

As they turn towards six years since inception, the celebration coming in May is arguably the most special to date. Given over two years have passed since they got together the anniversary, May 14th plans to make up for lost time and bringing the family back together. Stated by the crew: “We want to have you all in one place at one given time for the birthday sing along. So we’ve decided to make the party a tad shorter but hopefully will in the meantime make it even more intense, if that’s even possible.

Sound is paramount at Stump, considering the microscopic details buried in much of the minimal music played at the parties, excellent sound and lights makes for all the more intimate journey. E1’s Black Studio will host the crew from 23:00 – 10:00, inviting their beloved crowd to get lost in 11 hours of magic.

Bookings for the birthday also nod towards the crew’s evolution, inviting Apollonia legend and devoted selector Dyed Soundorom, as well as one of the scene’s most cherished producers in Steve O’Sullivan. Both artists will make their debut at Stump, invited to experiment and express themselves in an environment filled with music obsessors.

This time the party will remain in just the one location with no after-hours planned, although the crew definitely have many plans for the rest of the year. Word on the grapevine is Stump have quite a few more showcases planned before December. “We will come back with our classic extended marathons later this year, and with a few surprises up our sleeves to announce soon.
