London festival Junction 2 announces stage splits

Having emerged as one of the stand out festivals of the year, Junction 2 returns for another edition this time over 2 days. We reported way back in November on the second phase of artists and we can now let you know all the juicy details on how the stages will break down on Friday, June 7th and Saturday, June 8th.

There is no denying the booking prowess of this finely tuned gathering and with The Bridge stage being taken care of by none other than fabric it was always going to be an impressive soiree. Making their debut is the S_AS duo of Subb-an and Adam Shelton, they will be joining Job Jobse, DJ Koze, Dixon and then finally who else but Craig Richards and Ricardo Villalobos to bring it home. On this type of stage and the level of production that Junction 2 excel at Friday night ravers are in for a real treat. There will be plenty of great music around on day 1 with special mention going to Mr G playing a Selectors DJ Set at The Hex, Objekt will be leaving punters slack-jawed at The Warehouse and Ben UFO will be closing The Woods stage hosted by FACT, but as far as minimal music that is pretty much all you need to know.

Saturday, however, is a different kettle of fish. The artists on offer for techno of various flavours and shades are extremely well catered for, but with the prospect of performances by Loco Dice, Apollonia, tINI, Lauren Lo Sung and Gene On Earth at The Stretch stage hosted by Sonus, as well as Sonja Moonear b2b Nicolas Lutz, Craig Richards, San Proper and Voigtmann at The Woods stage hosted by VBX, leave Saturday’s minimal attendee’s with an impossible task of where to stake their claim. Rest assured, regardless where you end up at Junction 2 on Day 2 there is going to be tales to tell.
