Honduras-based record label Re:Tune Music has been responsible for developing and promoting an avant-garde electronic music policy throughout Central America and now in conjunction with Beatamin Recordings and El Encanto Hotel is extremely excited to present the second edition of Kairos Festival between Friday, March 1st and Sunday, March 3rd.
Taking place at the visually stunning Cascata Lodge just 30 minutes outside the city of San Pedro Sula (SPS), Kairos Festival will feature a carefully curated artistic line-up that would be the envy of any underground festival in the world. From the minds of three regional artists Ramón Pineda, Héctor Moran and Jose Villeda and Franco Palma, a true lover and very knowledgeable of the underground music scene and electronic culture in Central America. Playing to their strengths, the festival will enhance the natural setting by staging shows in front of waterfalls and beautiful landscapes. The opportunity to have this unique experience, that combines music and nature, and a first-class production by the organizers, is allowing Kairos Festival the vehicle to sidestep the countries current corruption woes and instead shine a light on a thriving electronic music scene.
On day one Holland’s SlapFunk Records is represented by one of its finest exponents, Sanja, also on the bill is the well renowned Mike Shannon and closing the first day is Japanese artist Kaitaro, who will delight the audience with his uniquely textured live set. Providing the all-important support during the formative early hours will be Ramón, Ovald & Jimo Bastian, SAYBE and Mario Quijano.
The following day the line-up is even more loaded and with there being no time to waste, the groove is comfortably set up by Edgar 8A, Villeda, Nahum Ortiz and Martin Jerez before the headliners begin making their way to the stage. Starting with Club Rex’s resident MOLLY, she then gives way to One Record co-founder Subb-an who will aim to pick up the pace in advance of Perlon chief programmer Sammy Dee arriving. Completing the musical journey will be Savor Music’s head honcho Jorge Savoretti.
