In 2017, Houghton Festival struck a chord with music heads all across the U.K. A simple refined approach, including bespoke sound systems, fantastic food, and extended DJ sets, programmed three days straight was a refreshing approach to a U.K festival.
Curated by Craig Richards and produced by Gottwood Festival, Houghton returns in 2018 with more of the same. Ricardo Villalobos, Andrew Weatherall, Seth Troxler, Nicolas Lutz, Ben UFO, Sonja Moonear, Margaret Dygas, Midland, Optimo, Adam Shelton and Joy Orbison all return and could well play more than one set. This year there are debuts for Zip, Barac, The Mole, Pearson Sound, Call Super, Prosumer and Shanti Celeste while alternative acts Mathew Jonson, Mr Scuff and Nathan Fake are also confirmed.
Houghton remains the only UK summer festival to fuse art, music, and sculpture while its licence allows musical programming of both sunset and sunrise.
The festival takes place 9-12 August in the Norfolk countryside. For the full lineup see the poster below. More artists TBA.
