The docked Berlin party boat MS Hoppetosse has always had a soft spot for music of the minimal persuasion but the events they have coming up this month are something else entirely.
Starting on Saturday, March 16th they have the excellent 3-year birthday party of Giuliano Lomonte’s vinyl-only imprint Point of View. He will be joined by a pair of Romanian artists Cally and Charlie for an extended evening of high seas action.
The week after commencing on Friday, March 22nd there is a very special event celebrating the 5-year anniversary of Subtil Records and they have programmed an absolute gem of an event to mark the occasion. Manning the decks will be a fine assortment of selectors in Kozo, Andrei Ciubuc, Paul Agripa, Vlad Arapasu, Martin Glowacz and Nils Weimann.
Leaving barely enough time to sweep the deck and restock, the Anonymous Souls party on Sunday, March 24th also holds an extremely on point array of artists ready to make the dance planks bounce. Lining up will be Malin Génie (Mandar), Matthew Dekay, Noha and Per Hammar.
We hope you got plenty of rest during the week as the following weekend there is yet another jam-packed minimal program at Hoppetosse. Blasting off on Friday, March 29th is the hotly tipped party by Roof Booking agency, showcasing part of his roster including Cedric Dekowski & Felix Reifenberg (live), Domenico Rosa, Giammarco Orsini, Max Vaahs and Marcolino (Ultrasuoni).
Some might say that they have saved the best for last, but the tireless team at Hoppetosse are certainly seeing March out in style. Taking control of both decks for this one-off collaboration between Amphia x Meander x ReSolute will see the upper deck witness sets from Bruno Schmidt, Cap, Lamache and O.BEE. Meanwhile, the lower deck welcomes Cezar, Cristi Cons, Kamran Sadeghi (live), Sublee and Vlad Caia. Few people can argue with, or rival these sorts of line-ups. That’s why we love Hoppetosse so much.
Anchors away.
