Since the debut of this uprated and pimped out 2-day event at Polyvalent Hall last November, Hi Fi Fi has set new standards in minimal events and always draws the best artists the scene has to offer for the extended sessions that unfolds. However, for the third edition of Hi Fi Fi on Friday, June 14th and Saturday, June 15th a slightly different approach will be taken.
Instead of taking place at the vast spaces of Polyvalent Hall Hi Fi Fi 3 will be taking place a true minimal stronghold – Club Midi. Since opening its doors in 2007 Club Midi has nurtured minimal culture and given its local stars the tools in which to develop into the artists they are today. For this special event, the normally jaw-dropping sound and lighting rig will be beefed up to fall in line with the usually unmatched standards of a Hi Fi Fi event and that is nothing to say about the artists that have been drafted in.
Sticking with the 2-day extended session format, the Friday session will feature sets from Sunwaves favourite Charlie, Andrei Ciubuc and Olga Korol while the Saturday session will feature music by Club Midi main man Mihigh, K.D. Chriss and none other than Rhadoo, Petre Inspirescu and Raresh aka RPR Soundsystem. With fewer DJ’s performing each night there will be much more room for each artist to stretch their legs musically which is a godsend in today’s clubbing landscape, but then again, this is Romania.
