After having launched Elétrico Festival the previous year at Porto’s Parque Da Pasteleira, the team behind this sun-kissed celebration of music, art and technology are back and have dropped their payload of artists that will be transporting festival goers to another realm between Friday, July 26th and Sunday, July 28th. With last year’s debut featuring heavyweight artists such as Zip, Fumiya Tanaka, Rhadoo, SIT, and Sonja Moonear there is again a notable minimal and top quality deep house presence in this array of artists. Frenchmen Apollonia and D’julz will be joining Maayan Nidam (live) and [a:rpia:r] man Petre Inspirescu, there is no doubting the caliber of the music and indeed the level of organisation and production that goes into Elétrico Festival.
As well as these top minimal acts all enjoying their own dedicated stage there will also be some other impressive acts in the shape of Levon Vincent, Matthew Herbert, Marcel Dettmann, some of America’s house and techno lynchpins in Inner City (live), Kerri Chandler, Moodymann and Theo Parrish (making up half of supergroup 3 Chairs). Completing the lineup for this first round of artists is Diana Oliveira, Helena Guedes, Janus Rasmussen live (Kiasmos) João Dinis, João Tenreiro, Leo Cruz, Maria Gambina, MAGAZINO, Rui Vargas, Tiago Carvalho and Vasco Valente.
