After a massively successful event back in October, Copenhagen based outfit MDK returns to club based business with another extended party packed full of international and domestic talent.
This session begins early doors with a vinyl trade where you can get your hands on a bargain or hidden gem before the main event kicks off. With the crates of records safely stowed away it is time to get down to business and there is an impressive selection of artists to provide the early Christmas presents. Right at the top of the tree is French star Janeret and having become one of the most bankable artists in our scene some time ago there is little doubt that his set at Hangaren will be one of the highlights of MDK’s year.
One of Sweden’s most recognised minimal exponents Martinez will also be in attendance. His long and storied discography which began at the turn of minimal music initial incarnation has seen his work act as footnotes in the genre. His own labels Consealed Sounds, Out Of Orbit Recordings and sub label Re:connected being home to much of his most lauded work but with releases on Minibar, SlapFunk Records, and Love Letters From Oslo Martinez continues to push the sonic envelope.
Danish maestro Jokke will join the already glittering cast and with an illustrious career spanning 30 years. Having previously featured on Martinez’s Out Of Orbit Recordings and his own Nam Nam Records which has also been a home to fellow Danish electronica legend Trentmoller. With such a long standing connection to electronic music MDK have guaranteed the dancefloor will be lit up for the duration. There will be a duo of b2b action with MDK founders Daniel Naad and 7Levels combining as well as Ana Karla and George also taking to the booth together.
Completing the line up for this special Christmas special will be a closing set from MDK’s dear friend and talented selector Adrat. Having shared the stage with many rising stars and established names that include Jorge Savoretti the final moments of this party will be in good hands. As well as the undoubted musical talent being showcased throughout this event there will also be visual delights from Romanian artist PM.
