Caribbean festival SXM announces first acts

With the allure of partying in mainland Europe not waning in the slightest, a new crop of far-flung beach based raves that has popped up over the last few years to offer a sun-soaked alternative. One such tropical get together that has been going from strength to strength in recent years is SXM Festival in Saint Martin, Caribbean. Now in its 4th year, SXM Festival is back after last years unfortunate suspension due to Hurricane Irma destroying parts of the island and has just dropped the first names to feature in their 2019 event between March 13th – 17th. You will not be disappointed.

Offering a full program comprising of multiple stages, label parties, boat cruises and general good times there will be more than enough to keep you occupied, and with names like Apollonia, Archie Hamilton, Cristi Cons, DeWalta, Digby, DJ W!ld, Enzo Siragusa, Fumiya Tanaka, Maher Daniel, Marco Carola, Molly, Sammy Dee, Seb Zito, Traumer and Zip all announced in the first tranche it is great to see minimal house and techno being very well catered for. With names like this first out of the hat, I am sure there will be some more big surprises in store in the coming announcements.

SXM is not all just about the beats, once settled on Saint Martin you will be able to take full advantage of all the trappings that come with an idyllic island getaway as the islands resorts facilities extend to reviving spa’s, gourmet eateries and of course there is the natural beauty of the island itself, which is enough to put a smile on anybody’s face. So, if you are looking to escape the bitter cold of Europe early next year keep your eyes peeled for more news coming from SXM Festival on their next phase of artists, just don’t think on it too long as early bird tickets won’t stick around for long with a line-up like this.
