Bipolar return for the fourth instalment of their Snowman Festival on Saturday, January 26th at the snow-laden locale of Ponton Casa Baraj. The eagle-eyed amongst you will have noted that last year’s edition featured a showcase from Livio & Roby’s Tier Records imprint and featured sets from Arapu, Einzelkind, Vlf, Direkt and the Romanian head honcho’s themselves.
This year’s event will feature perhaps an even more exciting line-up, all be it a quite different array of stars. Returning for 2019 is Romanian artist Vlf, he will be joined by Suciu, Sepp, Perpetual, Runy, Bread & Butter, Somesan and the perhaps one of minimal music’s most exciting live acts – Amorf.
While the DJ’s mentioned above are all in the process of ascending to the upper echelons of minimal music, it is Amorf, both singularly and collectively that continue to stand out on line-ups. Their recent hypnotic “Dimensions” EP on Amphia remains at the fore of the melodic side of minimal music and serves as a benchmark of excellence for their peers to follow.
The prospect of experiencing an Amorf performance in close quarters is surely a mouth-watering thought. As with all previous Snowman Festival editions, the whole weekend will offer the opportunity to couple fantastic skiing facilities with incredible music. Such is the Romanian way during the winter time.
