Time Passages boss Binh is a well-known figure head of the electro flavoured minimal scene in Europe, but sadly for America his appearance is usually limited to a clutch of dates each year. This will all change this weekend with a slew of raves with the Berlin based artist heading up proceedings.
With the dancefloor at Anthony Naples’ New York residency barely falling silent by the time you read these words, Binh will already be on the move to his next US date. Saturday night is reserved for his link up with Miami lynchpin Un_Mute and Alley Cat Music in Atlanta. The lush green city of Atlanta might not immediately be on your usual American minimal radar, but take it from us that they absolutely should be.
Having previously brought none other than the Perlon duo of Zip and Sammy Dee back in May and prior to that welcomed Tin Man, Dubfire, Stacey Pullen, Rhadoo, Chris Leibing, Gene on Earth and DJ Tennis since the turn of the year. Having populated many venues, they will be transplanting their energies to a suitably intimate loft space for the duration of this unmissable rave. Providing that local favour will be Tocayo, Bozzy and James Sheftal.
Fingers crossed Binh will have left Atlanta’s foundations intact, but their loss is most notably Miami’s gain as he makes his way south to touch base with Un_Mute on their home turf. For such an arrival, a rather special party is in order. They don’t get much more special than a day out at sea with like-minded souls and a team of supporting artists on the decks of the South Beach Lady Yacht. The front bow will be rocking to the sounds of Speaker Boxes’ Kike Roldon, Atom Yard and Penny. Meanwhile Un_Mute resident Max Kraushaar will be warming the dance planks for Binh. Having recently laid waste to Friday’s Earthling stage at Houghton Festival and prior to that Panorama Bar, this will give some semblance of the calibre of performance and artist that will be making his long-awaited return trip to The States. Let’s just hope for the sake of the clued up Stateside ravers it’s not too long before he makes another jump across The Pond.
