The Basque collective Alternate Division has been on their musical quest for some time, and the joint efforts of this crew over the years have resulted in them creating the two-day festival Alternative Forest. Taking place in a secluded wooded area close to Mendaro, Gipuzkoa, on May 23rd and 24th, the natural beauty of the forest will be transformed into an immersive rave space.
Alternate Division has always stood for developing the local scene and the artists that are responsible for pushing a multitude of sounds that cover house, techno and electro. Their past guests, as well as a cast of countless local heroes, include in-demand names such as Christian Sarde, Alex Dima, and Carl Finlow. This nurturing of talent also extends to their own label, which centres on the more electro side of house and techno.
The weekend has already been split into two distinct parties with Omar, Borja Smoking, Alcido (live), Gisa & Coel, and Alternative Krew taking to the decks on Saturday, May 23rd. The very next day, there will be even more action in the forest with Matthias, Ildec, Waveratio618, Kinetic, DJ Radar, Garai, and Gang of Four (Selecta).
