Alley Cat Music return to weekly Saturdays with a warming winter schedule

one of Atlanta’s longest running party crews Alley Cat Music have announced the long awaited return of a more regular scheduling, bringing back a weekly Saturday residency Future Nightclub that will take place throughout the rest of the winter. In recent years they have brought acts such as ZIP, Sammy Dee, Dyed Soundorom, Sonja Moonear, Rhadoo, Maher Daniel, Roman Flugel, Chad Andrew, Garth, Priku, and many more. Here is a sneak Peak at the upcoming winter line up.

Their home Future Nightclub is located in an old historic subterranean shopping mall in downtown Atlanta and the space itself looks like something out of a movie. The weekly party will feature 2 rooms on 2 floors, and will aim to keep a low cover charge no matter the talent booked. There is a strict no photo/video policy on the dancefloor and it is the only legal party in the city that goes until 4am.

The Atlanta based collective has built a solid community over the years, offering a relaxed but dedicated haven for lovers of house and techno. Strong partnerships have been built with an ethos that allows its invited artists full reign at the controls. Often playing extended sets, with line ups kept short and sweet. Underneath it all remains a solid programming spread with little boundaries and the latest series of events is no different.

There’s a blend of underground sounds here on the horizon. Over the course of the winter season you can take your pick between the darker shades of techno and the brighter sounds of the minimal groove. The schedule brings together a bunch of firm favourites, starting this weekend with Alley Cat’s own founder and resident Tocayo. No doubt spirits will be high for this one as he celebrates a special birthday set, alongside collective friends Andlé, Michael Scott and Mike Zarin.

Subsequent weeks see a bunch of Atalanta residents spread across the two room club, on hand to give their own impression of what Alley Cat is all about. 20th January is ready to receive the return of Crosstown Rebels queen Francesca Lombardo and as we move into February, the list of international invites grows longer.

Giammarco Orsini will be leading the way on 3rd February, an Italian artist well versed in the futuristic sounds of dance ready deep house. The following Saturday sees Berlin based digger Christian AB lead up alongside prolific producer Danny Daze. And a celebration of the American artists continues, with legendary techno group Octave One alongside Joel Mull on 17th February.

The latter weeks are also bearing some serious fruit, with SCI + TEC bossman Dubfire making his next Alley Cat appearance alongside Alci on 24th February. Youandewan has also been announced for 9th March, and leading Detroit figure Carl Craig will make it down for the 30th.

All this, and there’s still some surprises in toe with plenty more yet to be revealed. Alley Cat Saturdays are set to keep the city entertained throughout the winter and despite the large scale, ticket prices are set to remain reasonable. Plenty of reasons to get involved!
