Vagabundos is back. One of Ibiza’s most recognisable party concepts of the 2010s returns almost a decade since its last events, with Luciano once again at the helm.
For those who experienced Vagabundos the first time around, the announcement has naturally brought plenty of memories with it. Its original residency at Pacha became a fixture of the Ibiza summer, combining a distinctive musical identity with colourful characters, theatrical performances and an atmosphere that extended well beyond the DJ booth.
At the heart of it all was the music. Luciano’s blend of house, minimal and Latin-influenced rhythms provided the foundation, joined by a close circle of artists who helped shape the sound. Long sets, musical freedom and the connection between artists and the dance floor became central to the experience.
What began in Ibiza eventually travelled far beyond the island, with Vagabundos events appearing in cities around the world. Now, after years away, the concept returns with a refreshed visual identity and a slightly different outlook. Rather than attempting to recreate its original Ibiza years, the relaunch looks to carry elements of that period into a new chapter. The familiar sense of musical freedom remains, but the project arrives in a different club landscape from the one it left behind.
The first event takes place at Factory Town in Miami on Friday 4 December, during Art Basel week. Luciano will be joined by Ilario Alicante, Rossi., Salomé Le Chat and ALCI, bringing together different generations and interpretations of the underground while maintaining the broad musical personality at the heart of Vagabundos.
Miami is only the starting point. Further events are planned for 2027 across Europe, the US and elsewhere, marking the return of Vagabundos as an ongoing series rather than a one-off revival.
There will inevitably be nostalgia around its return. Vagabundos belongs to a particular chapter of Ibiza history and many of those memories remain closely tied to the people, music and atmosphere of that period. Now, however, it is time for the next chapter.
