Having not gathered together since 2019, the Romanian festival 3 Smoked Olives Island Festival will once again reconvene on the magical island on the Danube, near Calarasi, about two hours away from Bucharest. Running for a whole 24 hours each for a whole week from Wednesday, July 27th until Tuesday, August 2nd this super intimate gathering will of course be collecting an on-point collection of artists for the duration, more on that later, but there is much more to this festival than just music.

Throughout the weeklong get together the 2,000 lucky attendees will be able to truly escape reality and expand their mind and body as well as their ears. Activities include yoga, body painting, tarot, and – when the body tires after exploring the ancient archaeological site of Vicina and the waterways of the Danube, they can enjoy a rejuvenating massage. This cleansing of the body and mind also extends to the surrounding local Danube area and the festival is dedicated to the intrinsic part that sustainability projects that underpin the festival. The zero-waste approach, which is a main theme of the event and just one of these projects that 3 Smoked Olives is involved, is the deserving Clean Waters Campaign of which they were a worthy partner.
