Some festivals feel like destinations; others feel like dimensions. I Land Sound Festival 2025, held on the small Illiku Island just off the coast of Saaremaa, Estonia, belongs firmly to the latter. It’s not just a gathering — it’s a journey. One that begins the moment you board the ferry to Orissaare, about three and a half hours from Tallinn, where the mainland slowly disappears and the Baltic air takes over, filled with anticipation and the scent of pine and sea salt.
This year’s edition, held on July 17–20, unfolded beneath the long northern daylight that never truly fades — a surreal atmosphere that makes the Estonian summer so unique. With its stunning seaside setting, hand-crafted wooden art pieces, and warm, open crowd, I Land Sound once again proved why it stands among Europe’s most imaginative boutique festivals.

Beyond the stages, the island offered plenty of ways to connect with nature — from swimming in the Baltic waters to exploring food stands serving local snacks and the famous Estonian dried fish. Everything on Illiku felt unhurried, intimate, and deeply connected to its surroundings.
The opening night set the tone with Roi Perez, Sally C, Simone De Kunovich, Nechaev, and Iunsu guiding the crowd in The Dome stage through a flowing blend of house and electro grooves. Their energy mirrored the landscape — bright, relaxed, and endlessly rhythmic — setting the perfect foundation for what was to come. Meanwhile, on the Terrace stage, Anton Questnel and Traumer were performing solo sets before joining forces as antraum for the gettraum showcase; with the third appearance at I Land Sound, the crowd was estatic of the Frenchman rolling grooves. The Sunset stage saw a b2b between Nico Stojan and David Mayer while a lot of local artists from the Baltic region were showcasing their talent.

The following night saw our takeover of the Terrace stage in collaboration with Pieces Agency, a special showcase featuring some of the most interesting talents from the French agency: Robin Ordell, Shonky, Otis (live), and D’Julz all played. Together, they crafted a deep and vibrant musical journey that moved seamlessly between hypnotic house lines and raw electro power — one of the most memorable takeovers of the weekend.
Behind the scenes, Kaarel, Rasmus, and Gert, the trio responsible for backstage hospitality, turned their island house into a haven of laughter and friendship. Between sets and sunsets, their easygoing warmth made every guest feel at home — a reminder that the soul of a festival often lives beyond the stage.
On Saturday, it was time for UVAR to be in control of the Terrace stage: Alexis Cabrera, Sepp and more artists were part of the takeover by the Romanian imprint.
Throughout the whole edition, a number of activities for the body and mind took place, including yoga, sunset cruises, open air sauna, massages, nordic rituals as well as food and whiskey tasting – a vast array of ways to relax, unwind and experience the local culture.
As tradition dictates, the final night culminated with the burning of the Trojan Horse, a spectacular moment that lit up the night sky over Illiku and brought everyone together for one last embrace.

For those who crossed the water to get there, I Land Sound 2025 wasn’t just another festival — it was an experience of community, creativity, and freedom. A celebration of Estonia’s growing house and electro movement, and proof that some of the most magical places on earth can only be found somewhere between land, sea, and sound.
To help you join in on all the fun in 2026, I Land Sound have already set their dates for 2026:16 – 19 July 2026.
