Following the success of their sold-out debut EP, Pa’volar are back with their latest project. Based in Barcelona, the label serves as a collaborative platform for innovative artists to showcase their forward thinking and versatile sounds. Latest EP ‘Mental Nature’ contains four original tracks that champion this spirit.
Kicking things off on the A1 ‘Science’ pulsates a groove driven bassline with lush chords and a sultry vocal sample that captivates you. Both tracks showcase his musical prowess that is inspired by the golden era of UK Tech House. Baffa’s transition into a solo career has proven that he stunningly infuses his own style with his influences to create a revitalised sound. Day 4’ on A2, explores the deep and darker side of Baffa’s productions, characterised by a minimal bassline with eerie textures, choppy vocal samples and strong kicks that make this a contemporary-sheen groove.
Label boss Neoser continues to push boundaries and explore new sonics with two distinctive tracks on the B Side of this EP. B1 ‘Light Of Presence’ is an eclectic and tasteful house track that perfectly holds a vibe and showcase Neoser’s versatility as an artist. The high tempo, bouncing rhythm and ethereal melodies makes this a perfect cut for an energetic DJ set moving into peak time.
On B2, our premiere ‘The Morning After’ is a catchy breakbeat tune with dreamy pads, soft and uplifting vocals, characterized by strong kicks that close the EP with a good and diverse vibe. We would not be surprised to hear this track being played in a late-morning open-air set at a festival of the likes of Houghton or Dimensions.
A well-crafted record perfect for different occasions and set to become a staple in many music lover’s record collection.
