This is one of those reviews where you don’t need to say much. I doubt you haven’t seen that clip of FDG playing the version of today’s premiere, maybe even on Trommel. And if you’ve seen that, chances are you instantly fell in love with the track. It’s just one of those jams, you know?
So, when Sex Tapes From Mars label mentioned there would be three more versions of the track, all you can say is “DAMN!” After a quick decision-making process, we went with the one crafted by Baldo… And it delivers everything you’d expect from that sort of collaboration. The euphoria of the original, plus that extra Baldo flair. Can’t wait for summer to hear this playing everywhere.
But wait, there’s more. Velvet Velour delivered a more delicate one. It’s more delicate until you catch that buzz. I almost jumped the first time I heard it. And there’s the “Valhalla Edit” – to be brief yet informative – a polished rework of the original track, almost reaching perfection, I’d say.
While you’re waiting for this one (you can already grab it on Juno, Deejay, or, for example, Subwax), I have to give you a heads-up that 2024 is looking pretty promising for Sex Tapes From Mars. So, don’t be surprised if you see a lot more of their stuff around here.
