After a successful debut release last year, London-based label pressure control is back at it again with their second release featuring rising talent Phase O’Matic, who delivered a five-tracker packed with character and dancefloor appeal.
Our premiered track, “Golden Eye” on B1, effortlessly bridges old and new. A catchy bassline lays the foundation while vocal hooks and sharp acid leads inject plenty of character, resulting in a timeless electro piece with modern twists.
Flipping back to the A-side, “New Development” on A1 is built around old-school vocals and electro elements. Arpeggiated basslines and lead synths give “Repent” on A2 a nostalgic allure. Balancing melodic warmth with a steady pulse, the tracks capture the essence of classic electro through a contemporary lens.
Robot-like vocals meet spacey sound effects to create a cinematic atmosphere on “Live At The Factory” on A3. Last but not least, “Inexplicable Unexplainable” on B2 closes the release with a more contemporary sound. Melodic percussions and a soaring lead work together to create an uplifting, energetic groove that brings the record to a confident finish.
PCSC002 is set for release on July 10 and will be available in both digital and on wax on Bandcamp.
