The start of a new label – Crate 17, with their first release by Jaen. We were promised “the beginning of a label intent on embracing transformation”. Let’s now check it one by one.
“Hertz” is a simple, groove piece on the edge of house and electro. With a huge lean onto the house side, but we can feel them both here well.
“Electrons” is a bit more aggressive joint, almost Uruguayan vibe, maybe a little lighter than they usually are, but you can feel that style here. “Collector” from the B-side starts the deeper part of the record, a nice tool, I would say. Finally, “La Foudre”, with its another summer cool perfection – a great tool, I would say here.
