With an already impressive catalogue of dancefloor heaters on the likes of Eastenderz, Locus, You&Me, PIV, and Elrow, Argentine artist Mariche now lands back on his own mob imprint. Here he takes aim with the two-track “Ecstasy” EP that combines high-energy grooves and atmospheric electronics.
Our pick of the release is the lead track “Ecstasy”, where Mariche sets his sights firmly on making the dancefloor move. Thumping grooves work in tandem with a gated electro synth that injects the high-grade energy shot that any peak time bomb requires. Add to this the vocal snips and ethereal bell shots, and all the ingredients are there for all your festival needs.
Part two of the release comes from “Can’t Breathe”, and Mariche doesn’t let the intensity fall one bit. Finely weighted percussion cuts through the mix as the electro synth continues to do great business in the main section of the track. Adding to the atmosphere during the breakdown is a waning string that helps to build the pressure further before the release into the powerful drop.
