Argentinian artist JUAAN’s rise to prominence has been nothing short of meteoric. His moody approach to the more electro, synth-heavy end of the house and techno spectrum has captured the minds of music heads, and not just in his home scene. He has been popping up all over Europe with sets for the biggest players in the underground, a trend that is becoming the norm for JUAAN. His upcoming appearance at Amnesia for Pyramid is a new era in his high-arcing trajectory.
For this week’s mix edition, we have secured a live set recorded at another bastion of the underground – Art of Dark. Taking place at the fabled London haven FOLD, JUAAN takes us on a wild and bump ride through the many facets of his record bag. Heady from the beginning, the Argentine moves through the gears with ease, stopping off along the way at muscular house, acid techno, proto-trance, and more nu-skool electro, with his trademark thought-provoking vocal monologues.
