One of the true pillars of the underground house community, Frenchman Djebali has one of the strongest discographies known to man. Built on the fundamentals of tight grooves and basslines so sweet that they are just meant to be. His tracks have found their way into almost all conceivable record bags, the world over and will continue to do so. From his early works on legendary labels Tuning Spork and Freak n’ Chic, to his expansive work on his self-titled label, it seems a sin that he has not featured in our mix series until now.
With much of the world now being bathed in the warming rays of the sun, we could not have wished for a more perfectly timed mix from Djebali. As always, the combination of dancefloor experience and French flair works an absolute treat. For those looking for an hour of straight-up hour of peak time bangers you will be surprised to find Djebali working through a variety of moods and shades. What Djebali doesn’t know about the groove is not worth knowing, as he has been proving ever since he announced his arrival on the scene.
