Having graced our pages not so long ago with his release on Unearthed Records, amongst others, the Planka Records boss lands on our Free Download series. The Spanish artist prides himself on his knack for maintaining a groove and subtly moving the dancefloor rather than seismic shifts. With an electro slant on house and techno, his work can be found on a range of highly in-demand labels such as Pillz, self-released 12”, and, of course, his own beloved Planka imprint.
For his Free Download stint with us, he has turned in an atmospheric groover of the highest order in “Menos Es Mas”. From his time living in Berlin, Sweden, and now Barcelona and Madrid, he has been able to drill down into this hypnotic after-hours sound that he has become so well known for. Rolling hats punctuated by cracking snare hits ensure that the rhythm doesn’t drop for too long. The ravey synths and rounded basslines confirm that Natural Goofy is a well-seasoned selector for these special moments at a party where only the very best slabs will do.
